Either is okay, but if you want great curb appeal, first you need to look at the basics. Is there any damage to your home on the outside? If so, this will be your first step. You will need to fix any damage before thinking about decorating. Nobody wants to purchase a home that looks like it is falling apart.

Next, think about decoration and everything that comes along with it. You could add a fresh coat of paint to the outside and clean up the yard, and that’s enough to have good curb appeal. But, if you want to step it up a notch, think about flowers, shrubs, trees, decorations, porch furniture, windows, and hardware on the front door. Anything that can be seen from the outside needs to look great. You could plant a few flowers and shrubs, add a new coat of paint, and add porch furniture to gain great curb appeal.
