Decluttering the Kitchen – Tips for Organizing Small Kitchens

by Realty Momentum

As professionals who have seen thousands of homes for sale, we know that the size of home has nothing to do with the size of kitchen. There are properties where everything is just the way you want, but the kitchen may be a little too cluttered for your liking. It is not always smart to refuse a great deal just because one room doesn’t fit your expectations. If you are smart enough, you can turn that part of your home into a place closer to how you want it.

So, today, we are sharing some kitchen decluttering tips to help new home owners make more space in their smaller kitchens.

  • Use as much as vertical space as you can – See those holes in most kitchen utensils? Make good use of them by hanging those utensils on the walls rather than keeping them in the drawers or on the cabinets. This will free up the cabinet and drawer spaces for bigger items.
  • Use Wall mounted Cabinets – Wall mounted cabinets free up more floor space in the kitchen. You can use the top of those cabinets to store items you don’t need too often.
  • Use cabinet doors – Your cabinets have more space then you think. Take a look at the inside of the door. You can use that space to hang a lot of items. You can also install narrow shelves for smaller bottles or boxes.
